It's morphing time! (freaky, freaky)

Talia plus Orlando Bloom

Talia plus Daniel Radcliffe

Talia plus Eminem

Talia plus Colin Farell
Haha! Just for laughs lang ;)
i am here...again
So yeah, I am here again. I guess I won't be moving to LJ after all. I've been a blogger-user for less than two years and this is the first time I've been gone for so long. Let's just say I was on a hiatus a.k.a. "I am too lazy to think and type some nonsense things on my blog" stage.
The two months I've been away has been the most dramatic stage of my life. Let's just say everything I need to write is safely hidden in my multiply blog. And (I hope this time it's for real) I'm over that phase. I am now just too excited to enter a new phase. The "hopefully this is my last year in college" phase.
Nah, I won't bore you out with my thesis plans. I guess I'd be writing about that in the next few months. Anyway, what have I been busying myself with this summer?
OJT. Yup. I was in the work force for five weeks. And it has got me thinking--I am not excited to join that force soon. No siree. Not for me. Maybe not now. But it is in the plan. In my not so near future plan. But the realizations? A person can be overworked and be underpaid at the same time. I know it's a cliche already but now, I have understood the concept really well. You study for four or so years, spend a whole lot of money, exert a bunch of effort, everything for a job that would pay you something that would be less than your student's allowance. That's how small the pay is when you're an average employee in an architectural firm.
I know what you're thinking. I am so materialistic. Maybe I am. But that's not the only thing that I don't like. The schedule. In college, you get to have days off. When your teacher's out, you don't go to school. But when you're working, fine, you have your weekends. But other than that, nada. Zilch. You'd always be praying for a non-working holiday. Or company outings.
You might think I had a really bad time in my OJT. Not really. Actually, I am missing going to Makati now that I am enjoying my last two days of summer. I miss the smell of kure colors up my nose everytime I need to rush on coloring presentation drawings, the sound of Xerox machines and printers especially when it's rush hour, the excitement of people while they're waiting for the lunch, merienda and uwian time. It is a great routine actually.
Let's just say I've got a lazy ass and I hate monotony. Which is why I don't think working is for me.
Anyway, I also got to vote for the first time for the national elections. Some slots have not been filled yet but out of the 10 senators I've voted for, 8 were able to make it to the top 10. And yes, I only filled up 10 slots. I am not one to vote for somebody just for the sake of filling up my ballot.
The HongKong trip that was planned out late last March did not push through. That could have been my first time to go out of the country. But we weren't able to go. All because NSO cannot find my birth certificate. Anyway, I got it now so I can apply for a passport already. Plus, I was able to learn how to swim! That's good news for a person who doesn't know how to swim let alone float in the water. People have not been noticing it but I got darker. Try swimming for four times (thanks to the Ortigas condo!) at this time of the year and you will get what I mean.
This is getting too much longer for an "I'm back" post. So this is it for now.
;)
Congrats!:)
I have been telling people that the reason I am not updating this blog is because I'm planning to
shift to LJ. Anyway, before I do so, let me say this to a very beloved orgmate:
Alhamdulillah, a new lawyer in our org! :) Hoping for a very great future ahead of you. You truly deserve this.
19th!:)
Dami kong ka-birthday!
Ang tindi nung shifting from a political speech to a personal greeting. To think, di ko ka-close yung mga tao. So halos lahat tuloy sa college, kahit di ko kakilala, binabati ako. Matindi yung mga kandidato na mang-joke time. "Uy, Talia, naalala ko yung birthday mo ha. Iboto mo ko!" Galing humirit! :)
Touched din ako sa KAISA people. Daming bumati! Pati unexpected people, nagte-text. Kahit in the middle of the night pa! Walang pinipiling oras.
The next day, March 3, tinapos namin ni Nica yung base ng mowdel. That night, punta kaming wedding ni Kuya Jun Jun.
Yung babae kasi, Malaysian kaya yung unang wedding nila, doon naganap. Yung dito, small gathering na lang. Tipong relatives only plus some orgmates and brods ni Kuya Junjun.
Sila yung kakanta. Chances!
Yung Malaysian guests nga (mga 40 plus sila), naka matching get up pa.
Some fichurs:

Bago umalis ng bahay

Sa kotse with minah and nim

Tajannah at ako

kasama si kuya

MSA people

family!:)
an update 20 days too late...
I haven't posted anything in this blog for a long time now. Of course, I can say I'm busy but my schedule's not been hectic for a week now. I am so not busy that I was able to (these are so night in any order. I'll just put whatever comes to mind first):
- Go to the UP fair during the second (tuesday) and the fifth day (friday). People have been saying those are the greatest nights. Talk about being lucky;) Friday night was spent asking for a backstage pass from Kuya Chino and Kuya Eric since their frat sponsored the event. Our request wasn't granted. But anyway, when Kuya Chino's band performed, people were screaming , "Ang gwapo ng drummer!". Kami naman ni Dennen, "Classmate namin yan!"

Tuesday night with Kim, Nica and Dennen
- Join the Heritage Park, American Cemetery, Market!Market! (layo ah!) field trip.

Classmates at McDo Market!Market! (pumunta pang Market!Market!, dun at dun din pala kami kakain)

At the American Cemetery
- Finish a reaaaaaalllllllly large plate along with a reaaaalllllly large model.
- Have an overnight (which by the way is not a slumber party but a cramming period for the reaaaaaaaallllllllly large plate and model I was talking about)
- Lose 5 pounds because of sleepless nights.
- Gain 3 pounds after sleeping again.
- Listen to F4 music and comparing F4 memorabilia with my plate groupmates during the supposedly overnight-dedicated-to-doing-our-plate.
- Fall in love to Giniling Festival's performance during the fair (talk about organizing my thoughts! This is so not in order, I'm telling you again)
- Read a 120-page book in one night for the Related Literature part of our research paper.
- Join Uji's Family Day and actually winning 3rd place in the bowling for adults division(who say's I play no sport?)

with Kuya and Uji with other special persons in the background
- And yeah, as always, when something pops into mind again, I'd be editing this post to add one.
P.S. Kiram, one of the senatoriables, lives in our neighborhood. As in, we-share-the-same-fence kind of neighbors. Funny how I used to be so apolitical thinking I don't have to vote. Well, my registration permit tries to say otherwise :)
I am very sick and tired of all of this
Literally.
Kagabi, feeling ko nilalagnat na ko. Pero since alam ko namang sobrang effective sa akin yung Biogesic, uminom ako before matulog. Plus Neozep na rin. Ayaw na ayaw ko kasing nagkakasipon.
Bawal magkasakit! Madami pang kailangang gawin. May plate pang dapat tapusin. May model pang dapat gawin. At syempre, may org activity pang kailangang puntahan.
Pero it was a fun, fun, FUN activity. Let the pictures do the talking :)

And so, nakisingit kami sa gimik ng Young Moro Professionals...

Oh yes, we even had time to fool around...

And have our picture taken with the UP Manila-Association of Muslim Students

Plus the whole group.

So yeah, we left with very big smile in our faces :)
Sana maulit pa! Wag lang yung masakit ang katawan-ko-kaya-kailangan-ko-ng-Salonpas-ngayon part.
I hate the weather!!!
Cramming to the highest level na naman ako! But what am I doing here typing an entry for this blog? Wala lang. I just need a time off. Kailangan ko munang kalimutan ang plate. Plus, I read a
rihihihihihily (a la Dr. Cox of Scrubs) long entry about our high school life from a former classmate. Oh yes, we were that notorious. Inggit tuloy ako. Buti pa si Doy, he's got all the time in the world to make that long entry. Siguro, pag nakahanap ako ng oras, I'll be posting one for my classmates also. Pero, what am I going to write about? Madalas nga pala akong wala sa happyhaps (a la Dr. Turk of Scrubs -why do I keep on quoting Scrubs people?, oh well, doing a plate means DVD marathon) nung high school. I was the major KJ of the batch. With matching the-only-one-who-wasn't-able-to-join-the-field-trip drama nung 3rd year. Sige, I'll do the best na lang ngayon to write some memories (bulleted ones of course for a busy person):
- Ang pagsira ng mga kaklase kong lalake ng pinto nung 3rd year at ang muntik na nilang pagka-kick out dahil sa tripping na ito. They ended up fixing the door pero syempre, nagsulat muna kami sa loob ng pintuan (sa loob ng plywood) bago pinako ang pinto sa pintuan. Time capsule kunyari.
- I, the person who graduated as Best in Values Education, told Marvie, a classmate, to just put the wrapper of her cupcake in one of the books when she asked me where she should throw it. I ended up getting caught by the librarian but I graduated without a single record in my card. Haha...talk about image.
- I cried in front of the school director with matching arguing with him because one teacher kept on insisting that my batchmates were the ones who locked the door during flag ceremony, delaying the start of first period class of first years.
- I played Donya Victorina (if I remember it right) during third year high school as one requirement for Noli Me Tangere class.
- We dressed up uniquely during field demonstrations. 2nd year, we wore glittery pants:silver for girls, gold for boys. 3rd year-we were Africans so black face and body paints messed the CR. 4th year-we were vegetable mascots. I belonged to the tomato group with matching red, round blush-on on our cheeks.
- We had a video presentation and for the first time in my high school life, I went home at 9pm for a week. That was the latest I've ever been out with my classmates.
Pag may naisip ako ulit, ie-edit ko to :)
- Dagdag lang--stupid, stupid, stupid! Bakit ko nakalimutan yung nangyari kay Terence nung third year? Nagpa-practice kami for the field demonstration nang makita naming tumatalon si Ma'am Condez. Maya-maya, may narinig kaming sumigaw. Later that day, dumating ang nanay n'ya. He suffered 2nd degree burns. The next day, walang pumasok sa class namin as a form of protest. It could have been anyone of us. After three months, okay na ulit si Terence. Okay na sana. Kaso, si Ma'am Condez, preggy that time. Rumors are nakunan s'ya dahil sa sobrang pagpa-panic.
